Ruth duncan was 69 when she passed away on the 10th December 2007.
she had numerous jobs throughout her life but for the last 20 years she worked in a home for the elderly.
She was born in Liverpool were she lived with her mum and dad and her sister Aida.She lived in the Dingle to start with then moved to Netherly in the 1960's with her husband Billy and three children Janet,Jackie,david.
Mum started feeling ill near the end of 2005 after various tests and long stays in hospital she was diagnosed with bowel cancer she had chemo treatment and through all this she didnt let it get her down and was always determined to go out to the shops no matter what the weather.
during the last stay at hospital Dean and Megan bought mums first great granddaughter,Maisy,in to see her.They will never know how gratefull we all were for making are mums day in hospital soo special.

I'm back at Uni now...not that I thought I would be coz I didn't do too well with my exams in the summer. I've been on holiday to Turkey again aswell...Really enjoyed myself. Hello nan. Hope u r ok up there with the angels. Maisie doing great at the minute nan. She is gorgeous so funny. She has an illness called PK Deficiency, which is an enzyme missing in her blood. They say it will get better in time, but she will never get rid of it, but as long as she is here with us, thats all that matters. Keep watching over her please nan. Love you from Emma xxxxx
